Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 25, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to PowerProxy ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, create an account, purchase mobile proxy services, or use our customer dashboard. It also explains which cookies we use and how you control them (see section 8).

2. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to process orders, deliver proxy services, prevent abuse, and improve your experience:

  • Account & Personal Data: Name, email address, billing address, phone number, and login credentials.
  • Payment Information: Credit/debit card details, billing history, and transaction records. Note: Payment data is processed securely by third-party payment gateways (e.g., Chargebee, Cryptomus). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Service & Proxy Usage Data: Proxy authentication credentials, connection timestamps, assigned IP addresses, bandwidth consumption, and connection logs used solely for service delivery, billing accuracy, and abuse prevention.
  • Technical & Device Data: IP address, browser type, operating system and device identifiers, collected through server logs and, where you have consented, through the analytics and marketing cookies described in section 8.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Process and fulfill orders, manage subscriptions, and handle refunds or renewals.
  • Authenticate and deliver mobile proxy access securely.
  • Monitor network performance, prevent fraud, and enforce acceptable use policies.
  • Respond to customer support inquiries and technical issues.
  • Send service updates, security alerts, and (with your consent) promotional communications.
  • With your consent, measure how our website and dashboard are used and how our advertising performs, using Google Analytics and Google Ads.
  • Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Legal bases (GDPR art. 6): performance of our contract with you (account, orders, service delivery); compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting records); our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, service improvement); and your consent (analytics and marketing cookies, promotional communications). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share information with trusted third parties when necessary:

  • Payment Processors: To securely handle transactions and prevent fraud.
  • Infrastructure Providers: Cloud hosting, CDN, and proxy network partners required to deliver our services.
  • Analytics & Advertising: Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics, Google Ads), only if you accept analytics and/or marketing cookies. Google may transfer this data to Google LLC in the United States; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. IP addresses are truncated by Google Analytics before storage.
  • Legal & Regulatory Authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or network integrity.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including TLS/SSL encryption, secure server infrastructure, access controls, and regular security audits. While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We continuously update our security practices to mitigate emerging threats.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Connection and usage logs are retained temporarily for billing verification, fraud prevention, and network optimization, then automatically purged according to our retention schedule. Google Analytics data is retained for a maximum of 14 months. You may request account deletion at any time, subject to legal and financial record-keeping requirements.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access, update, or correct your personal information.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Object to or restrict processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, including for cookies via the cookie settings in section 8.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time via email preferences or unsubscribe links.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use them on our website and in the customer dashboard. When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. Necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot work without them; analytics and marketing cookies are only placed after you accept them. Rejecting them does not limit your access to our services.
